The reason is that the path from Broken Beach is rocky, so you have to wear footwear. Although you can wear slipper or closed shoes the kind of footwear will hinder when you’re going to go down in the water.  So, the flip-flop is the best choice to protect your foot from any blister. And also, it’s easy to take off once you’re in the water.

Unfortunately, you can’t come down into the water anytime you visit Angel Billabong Nusa Penida. This is because it’s dangerous to enter the water when the tide.
